New structural models in South America to address debt, food security and media concentration are explored through examples in Peru. The application of prudential regulation, of which Peru is an example in the region, can provide solutions to other countries experiencing the risk of overindebtedness in certain market segments. Peru’s model of food security in the time of climate change and building alternatives to media concentrations are also examined.
